Chef John Rivers, Pitmaster of 4 Rivers Smokehouse, who has made appearances at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Cochon 555 will be having a sold-out dinner August 1 at the James Beard House in New York City. The menu for the evening will include his signature 18-hour smoked Angus brisket with some pulled chicken tamale pancakes, featuring ingredients exclusively from Florida. The event is open to the public and tickets will be $170. All proceeds will be going to The James Beard House, a non-profit organization that funds culinary culture through programs such as culinary scholarships, Leadership Awards, and a national food conference.
